New Assistant Superintendent Appointed for Irvington Schools
She takes over in the new position July 1.

IRVINGTON, NY - There’s a new assistant superintendent in the Irvington Union Free School District.
The board of education appointed Carol Stein to be the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations.
She takes over the position July 1, 2016.

Superintendent Dr. Kristopher Harrison said he and the board were proud to welcome Stein to the school community, according to a prepared statement.

“She brings with her an impressive background and skill set that will certianly prove to be an asset to the district,” he said.
“Her passion for education and incredible mind for business has made her a great match for Irvington,” Harrison said.
Stein is currently serving as school business administrator/treasurer for the White Plains City School District, having held the position for five years.
She has also been an adjunct professor at Manhattanville College School of Education and was a vice president at Citibank.
Stein holds a master of business administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
She will work with current Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations, Beverly Miler to transition into her new role.
