NYC Ballet's Peter Martins Appears In Court Monday

The Irvington resident was answering a DWI charge.

ARDSLEY, NY — The former longtime head of the New York City Ballet pleaded not guilty Monday to a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated charge. Peter Martins, 71, an Irvington resident, who also faces sexual misconduct accusations, also pleaded not guilty to refusing to take a breath test, the Journal News said.

The charges stem from a Dec. 29 arrest after a three-car crash.
