Parking Space Killer Granted Parole
He said he had to shoot the man more than 20 years ago because he was threatening his father.

DOBBS FERRY, NY — Parole has been granted to a former New York City transit cop who murdered a man over a Dobbs Ferry parking spot in 1996. Richard DiGuglielmo, 53, was convicted of shooting Charles Campbell Oct. 3, 1996, because Campbell parked in a "patrons only" space outside a deli operated by DiGuglielmo's father.
DiGuglielmo is scheduled to be released Jan. 7, 2019, the New York Post said.
He said he shot Campbell to keep the man from hitting his father in the head with a baseball bat.
