Police Investigating Burglary in Irvington

Irvington Police are investigating a burglary of a home on East Ardsley Avenue.

Irvington police are investigating a residential burglary that took place on September 18 between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on East Ardsley Avenue, said Sergeant Michael Foley.

The residents were not home at the time of the burglary, but it has been determined the perpetrators forced entry via a rear window.

The home was reported to have been lightly ransacked--with drawers discovered open, objects strewn about the floor and closets opened.  The burglars made off with assorted jewelry, a black leather handbag and about $20 in loose coins.
