Red Hat on the River in Irvington Offers Three-Course Lunches and Dinners During Hudson Valley Restaurant Week
Friday and Saturday dinner and Sunday brunch are excluded from the HVRW program at the exquisite Parisian-style waterfront bistro.

Red Hat on the River in Irvington is participating in the spring staging of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW) with both prix-fixe lunch and prix-fixe dinner service. Some of the 231 restaurants signed up for the program offer dinner only.
Hudson Valley Restaurant Week runs March 7-20, 2016 and has 131 restaurants in Westchester County participating plus another 100 located elsewhere in the Hudson Valley neighborhood. The program is celebrating its tenth anniversary.
The HVRW three-course menus (lunch at $20.95 and dinner at $29.95) do not include tax, gratuity and beverage cost.

Friday and Saturday dinner and Sunday Brunch are excluded from the HVRW program at Red Hat on the River. This restaurant is open for lunch and dinner on Mondays (some participating restaurants are closed on Mondays).
The regular menus at Red Hat on the River are also available as an option for patrons.

Proprietors Jim Parker and Mary Beth Dooley opened Red Hat on the River in a refurbished 100-year-old former power plant at the Irvington, New York waterfront in 2007. They previously owned Red Hat Bistro on Main Street in Irvington.
Appetizers
There are three appetizer choices available: onion soup, Red Hat Bistro Salad, and house-made rillettes (French duck and heirloom confit, sliced and served with pickled red onions, croutons, parmigiana reggiano, and house dressing).
Entrées on the $29.95 dinner menu:
- Prince Edward Island mussels. “Moules Frites Aux Les Halles.” Steamed with garlic, white wine and shallots. With fries.
- Grilled Scottish salmon. Sustainably raised. Sautéed spinach, French green lentils, Pommery mustard-herb vinaigrette.
- Brussels sprouts and fried egg salad. A warm salad of Brussels sprouts, wild rice, sweet potato, red quinoa, pine nuts, naturally cured smoked bacon and lemon vinaigrette
- Pan-seared French-cut chicken breast. Served with a warm salad of Brussels sprouts, wild rice, sweet potato, red quinoa, pine nuts, apricot-almond-cherry chutney and chicken jus vinaigrette
- Hanger steak frites. Served with Brussels and root vegetable roast and fries. Choice of red wine reduction, Bernaise sauce, or Chimichurri vinaigrette
- Red quinoa burger. Red quinoa, spinach, shiitake mushrooms and parmigiana reggiano, garnished with Bibb lettuce, chipotle aioli, picked red onion and avocado. Choice of greens vinaigrette, bistro Caesar salad or fries. Toasted brioche or ciabatta roll (vegetarian dish)
Dessert choices
- Profiterole. Vanilla ice cream, Valrhona chocolate sauce, brandied cherries and candied almonds.
- Brown sugar creme caramel. With fresh berries
- Lemon Coconut cake. Gluten and dairy free organic jam from Honey Locust Farm in Newburgh, NY
