My opponent, in contrast, was a registered Republican and then Conservative when the conservative party only supported Right to Lifer's
Most recently Catherine Lederer Plaskett sent a mailing across Greenburgh in support of my opponent. Although I support the right of anyone to work on behalf of the candidate of their choice, Catherine's mailing implied that I am not pro choice.
I find this extremely upsetting and the type of dirty politicking that has made this race so distasteful. For my entire decades long career I have always championed women's rights and progressive ideals. Catherine's support of my opponent, who until recently was a registered Republican and Conservative , is disappointing, as the Conservative Party only supported Right to Life candidates. Sunday marks the end of early voting and Tuesday is the primary election.
Democracy should mandate one set of facts, not lies and last minute representations that could impact the vote.
