Rivertowns Among Best School Districts In New Rankings

DOBBS FERRY, NY — Data compiler Niche released its new list, 2019 Best School Districts In America, last week. Dobbs Ferry, Irvington and Hastings-on-Hudson were high on the list.

To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)

Each district received a letter grade in the following categories: Academics; Diversity; Teachers; College Prep; Clubs & Activities; Health & Safety; Administration; Sports; Food; and Resources & Facilities.

Dobbs Ferry received an overall grade of A. In fact, it received all As except for a B+ in Administration and a B in Diversity. It was ranked No. 95 in New York and No. 591 out of almost 11,000 school districts in America.

Irvington received an overall grade of A+. In fact, it received all As except for a B in Administration and B- in Diversity. It was ranked No. 58 in New York and No. 334 out of almost 11,000 school districts in America.

Hastings-on-Hudson received an overall grade of A+. In fact, it received all As except for a a B- in Diversity and a B in Sports. It was ranked No. 17 in New York and No. 79 out of almost 11,000 school districts in America.
