Rivertowns Hot Spots Recognized as 'Best of Westchester'

Every year, Westchester Magazine relies both on readers' and editors' choices to determine the best shops, service providers and eateries in the county.

For 2012, many Rivertowns businesses got the nod of approval from the publication's editors:

• Hastings' "Very Lemony Lemon Cake"—which they could hardly believe was gluten free—was named among the best desserts.
• Irvington's won for it's great prices and "neighborhood feel."
• Calcutta Wrap & Roll in Ardsley won for Indian Takeout.
• Also in Ardsley, was named "Best Growler Fill station."
• Thursday's at Dobbs Ferry's was named "Best Gay Night" in Westchester.
• was called the "Best Block Party"!
• Irvington'swon among florists. 
• Ardsley' s was named one of the hot spots for kids' parties. 
• in Hastings, was named best auto body shop.
