Road Work on Route 9A in Ardsley to Begin Sept. 8

Construction is expected to last well into the fall.

Road work on Route 9A in Ardsley between Ashford Avenue and Heatherdell Road is expected to begin Sept. 8, according to village officials.

Construction is expected to last three months. The contractor will provide for one lane in each direction throughout the duration of the project, except for intermittent and temporary closures dictated largely by safety concerns.

During most of the expected project duration, the American Legion parking lot by the bus stop will be closed off in order to complete the project.

County bus service will still be available, but the stop will be moved north on 9A near the CVS shopping area.

The Village is currently investigating the provision of alternative parking areas for the period of construction, and progress updates will be provided, as needed.
