UPDATE: Ramp Closed At Truck Crash on Bronx River Parkway Overpass
State transportation officials said it could be up to six hours.

UPDATE: The southbound Bronx River Parkway ramp to Exit 11E (Cross County Parkway) was closed at 5:16 PM. State transportation officials said it would be closed for about six hours due to the accident and debris spill.

A truck hauling the U.S. mail crashed into an overpass on the southbound Bronx River Parkway this afternoon.
Westchester County police told The Journal News the crash happened at about 1:04 p.m. as the truck approached the Cross County Parkway exit.

Police kept one lane open so cars could get by.
Police told reporter Michael D'Onofrio they did not know if the truck would be removed today because there was so much to be offloaded.
