Expect some trafic delays on bridge starting next week
The second half of the Ardsley Road bridge is currently being replaced. The NYS Department of Transportation advised me that the work should be completed this summer. The first half of the bridge took five years to complete. Since work started on the second half of the bridge a few weeks ago residents have complained to me that the construction site is not safe. Very dangerous for motorists because the road is very narrow. Had received reports of cars driving on the wrong side of the road. Buses and trucks having difficulty driving on only one side of the road. And also received reports of near misses re: pedestrians.
I shared the reports with the New York State Department of Transportation and with the Greenburgh Police Department and received the following news today. Once the temporary traffic signals are installed there probably will be traffic inconveniences and delays. So if you need to go to the train station or across the bridge please give yourself some extra time.

Greenburgh Town Supervisor
Mr. Feiner,
Just wanted to provide the Town with an update for the planned revised work zone traffic control plan.
The plan is currently being finalized and will include the following:
1. Temporary traffic signals will be installed on both ends of the bridge.
2. The roadway will be restriped to allow for one wider lane, with alternating traffic.
The contractor is procuring the additional advance warning signs needed to be installed and the Department is anticipating the work to be performed next Tuesday 04/01/25, weather permitting.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks.
