Theater Group Seeks Volunteer Crew Members

Open House is planned by the Armonk Players for Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015

A “help wanted” notice has been issued by the Armonk Players, a 17-year-old community theater group.

An open house will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 where prospective volunteers can learn about the group. The meeting will take place in Whippoorwill Hall at the North Castle Public Library.

Individuals interested in any or all aspects of putting on a show are invited to attend. This includes producing, stage managing, set building, lighting, costumes and props. Volunteers are sought whether experienced or not and openings exist for board members too.

Current cast and crew members come from many Westchester County towns and villages and nearby out-of-county communities.

Many but not all of the productions are musicals. Recent productions include A Midsummer Night’s Dream (December, 2014), Play On!, Something’s Afoot, and Parallel Lives. The theater organization has also performed the Pirates of Penzance and A Little Night Music.
