Traffic Stop Leads To Drunken Driving Arrest: NYSP

Police said the man's blood alcohol content was 0.18 percent.

GREENBURGH, NY — A traffic stop yielded an arrest of a man accused of drunken driving. State police said Manuel T. Merchan-Cedillo, 29, of Port Chester, was pulled over on I-87 in the Town of Greenburgh around 1:50 a.m. May 13 for a vehicle and traffic violation.

He was found to be intoxicated, police said.

Merchan-Cedillo was taken to the Tarrytown barracks where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.18 percent, authorities said.

He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and vehicle and traffic violations.

Merchan-Cedillo was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets to return to the Town of Greenburgh Court June 7.
