Volunteer Opportunities Of The Week: Halloween, Film Festivals
Every week, Patch will spotlight volunteer opportunities somewhere in the Hudson Valley.
Each week Patch will be highlighting a volunteer opportunity — or two — in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — in perhaps a way you didn't consider before.
And if you have some need for volunteers, be sure to let us know by emailing michael.woyton@patch.com.
This week we are putting the spotlight on a couple of opportunities in the Hudson Valley.

Beginning Nov. 1, YoFiFest, the Yonkers Film Festival, will be celebrating its seventh anniversary. It's run entirely by volunteers and the festival is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and creative people to help with everything from working the box office to promotion on social media. All volunteers receive a festival T-shirt, vouchers to screenings and workshops, staff meals and snacks.
There are age requirements and certain things to which one must commit. The opportunities include transportation, ushering, greeting, publicity and more. The festival lasts through Nov. 11.
