When Do Schools Close, Reopen for Holidays 2016 in the Rivertowns?
It's a short vacation this year in the Rivertowns school districts based on when Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year's Day fall.

DOBBS FERRY, NY — It's just the way the calendar falls in 2016. Christmas Eve is on a Saturday; Hanukkah is on a Sunday; New Year's Day is on a Sunday.
And that's why all the school districts' holiday vacations seem shorter than usual. For all districts, school resumes Jan. 3, 2017.
- Ardsley: Holiday break is from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2
- Dobbs Ferry: Holiday break is from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2
- Greenburgh Eleven: Holiday break is from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2
- Greenburgh Graham: Holiday break is from Dec. 19 through Jan. 2
- Greenburgh North Castle: Holiday break is from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2
- Hastings-on-Hudson: Holiday break is from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2
- Irvington: Holiday break is from Dec. 23 through Jan. 2
Then it's a cold six weeks till the next vacation. All the districts have a winter break scheduled for Feb. 20-24.
