Dobbs Ferry Dad Charged with Dealing Heroin with Child in Car
White Plains police arrest Dobbs Ferry's Jason Green for dealing heroin in White Plains.

Dobbs Ferry father Jason Green was arrested by White Plains police Saturday after cops said they found him dealing heroin--with his 7-year-old child in the car, said Public Safety Commissioner David Chong.
Green, 36, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell--which is a B felony--and child endangerment, a misdemeanor.
"Drug dealing is very dangerous--both the drugs themselves and the dealing transactions, so it is very serious that someone would involve a child," Chong said.

Police on a narcotics stakeout observed Green acting suspiciously and arrested him after discovering that he had 89 small packages of heroin, Chong said
Police said the total weight of the drugs was 30.8 grams with a value of about $2,000. "It was a lot of heroin," Chong said. "If convicted, he'll face a long time in prison."

The child was turned over to a relative; police said the child protection authorities were also notified.
"Just like in many major city, it's not unusual to find narcotics here," Chong said. "But it is unusual to find someone who would do it with a kid around."
