At the Geneseo Invitational on the 21st, Patrick Wortner (Dobbs Ferry '09) of the Blue Knights copped the 5,000, timed at 15:37.12, with the 2nd place winner's clocking was 15:41.66. The hosts finished first through fourth in the race.

Lacrosse

In a home game on Senior Day with Merrimac of N.H., Tom Murphy (Hastings '08) was among those honored in their final game, in which he scored 1 goal, had 1 ground ball, and a turnover in the Pace Setters' final home game of the season, a 16-9 loss.

Softball

In the 2nd game of a twin bill with Bates at home on the 21st, a 15-5 win, shortstop Mira Lieman-Sifry (Hastings ‘08) of Tufts had 3 singles in 5 at bats, scored 3 runs, had an r.b.i, and had 1 putout and 2 assists at her position. They also beat the Bobcats in the opener, 5-0.

In the final game of the season for Clark and its senior second baseman, Stephanie Kettenacker (Hastings '08), the Cougars topped Brandeis, 8-3, as she batted 1-4, scored 1 run, and walked twice.

The team had a season record of 17-17: 6-10, with Kettenacker starting all 34 games, had a batting average of .195 and a fielding percentage of .941, with 8 errors during the campaign.

Mercy Women's Lax

The Mercy College women's lacrosse team extended its winning streak to five games with an 18-10 victory over East Coast Conference opponent St. Thomas Aquinas College this afternoon (April 28).

The Mavericks stormed out to a 10-1 halftime lead and held on to win behind four goals from junior Marissa Hurley and 17 saves by junior Stephanie DiLegge, which brings her season save percentage to an impressive .562.

Mavericks' Baseball

The Mercy College baseball team took a 4-2 lead with a three-run fifth inning in the second game of today's (April 28) East Coast Conference doubleheader against St. Thomas Aquinas College but was unable to hold on for the victory, falling by scores of 11-0 and 6-4 in the twinbill.
