Brandon Moreau & the Butter Bean String Band @ Harmony House in Webster - Sat Nov 8

The Rochester Cajun Zydeco Network is SUPER EXCITED to announce: Sat Nov 8th, "Brandon Moreau and the Butter Bean String Band" will be kicking up some mighty fine Cajun Music to light up the Harmony House, a gracious dancehall (circa 1899) in Webster NY.
Brandon Moreau, a revered Cajun fiddler & vocalist born & raised in Basile, Louisiana, is teaming up with the “Cajun flavored Henrie Brothers”, a celebrated family of string driven musicians from Middlesex NY … AND … his friend, from their days in NOLA, Ric Robertson on guitar.
Musically whatever the Henries touch turns to gold. As a Cajun band the Henries will both hit core veins of the genre and take dancers on 2-steps and waltzes they never imagined. Together with Brandon & Ric Robertson, the Butter Bean String Band will inspire folks to dance their 2-steps deep into the night.

BAND BIO
Growing up in Basile, Brandon was deeply influenced by the hometown hero, Cajun music legend, Dewey Balfa, whose style is core to Brandon's fiddle style and feel. After years of playing in Cajun bands throughout Acadiana, Brandon was drawn New Orleans to expand his musical horizons, where he’s lived and performed for over a decade. Once in NOLA playing on Bourbon Street, he formed “Brandon Moreau and CajunGrass”, working from his roots in Cajun music weaving in Honky-tonk, Swing and Bluegrass, pushing the envelope of what’s the norm.
Brandon will be joined by his friend Ric Robertson on guitar and keys, having met when they were living and performing in New Orleans, where their musical talents connected and blossomed.
As many folks know, Ric is an amazing multi-instrumentalist who has become known for being a deep dynamic Roots Americana music force here in Upstate NY since moving up to the Finger Lakes, performing with bands such as Donna The Buffalo, the Sam Grisman Project and Cuppasoup (also featuring Chris English and Aaron Lipp).
The Cajun Flavored Henrie Brothers from Middlesex NY, may be off the radar in the Cajun music world, they are a household name in the music currents of Upstate New York and beyond. Of the Henrie Brothers, Bobby Henrie is the most well-known, launching Bobby Henrie and the Goners in 1985, a rockabilly trio exploring all kinds of vintage rock n’ roll, swing and everything in between.
Musically whatever the Henries touch turns to gold. As a Cajun band the Henries will both hit core veins of the genre and take dancers on 2-steps and waltzes they never imagined. Together with Brandon & Ric Robertson, the Butter Bean String Band will inspire folks to dance all night long.
