2 Men Sought For Stealing Parts From Auto Shop: Police
Dozens of catalytic converters, with a value of $30,000, were stolen on Friday night, police say.
OCEANSIDE, NY — A business was burglarized on Friday evening in Oceanside. It was reported to police on Monday morning that an unknown person entered Novak Auto without permission.
When officers arrived, they discovered a piece of the front wall metal was removed. Once inside, several used catalytic converters were taken, police said.
An investigation revealed that two unknown men pulled up in front of the business in a dark-colored, two-door pick-up truck and took approximately 50 catalytic converters, detectives say.

The parts have a combined value of $30,000, police said.
The men fled in a truck heading north on Hampton Road toward Daly Boulevard, detectives said.
