2 Nassau Powerball Winners Await $50,000 Check

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — While one person in California won the record-setting $2 billion Powerball jackpot, some smaller payouts come from our neighborhood.

Among the $50,000 third-prize winners, one ticket was purchased at the Stop and Shop in Franklin Square. Another $50,000 ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in Rockville Centre.

There were 22 third-prize winners across New York from the Nov. 7 drawing, the New York State Lottery said.

Players have one year to claim their winnings.
