2 Tried To Break Into Baldwin Store: Police

The men hurled an object through the glass door but ran off when the alarm sounded, police say. They are wanted for attempted burglary.

BALDWIN, NY — Two men tried to break into Qwik Pick in Baldwin early Tuesday, Nassau police said.

The duo tried to get into the business through a locked front door and then hurled an object through the glass, shattering it around 3 a.m., police said. Officers responded to the store, at 2169 Grand Avenue, minutes later after the alarm sounded, police said.

The men ran off eastbound on Brooklyn Avenue after arriving on bicycles, police said. Police described the men as both around 5 feet 9 inches tall, thin and dressed in all black. Officers are looking for the men, who are wanted for attempted burglary.
