3 Teens Charged After Loaded Gun Found During Traffic Stop: Police

They were stopped in Baldwin on Tuesday night with a defective headlight, police say.

BALDWIN, NY —Three teenagers were arrested on Tuesday night in Baldwin following an investigation that yielded a loaded semi-automatic pistol, police said.

The driver, Jacob Nolen, 18, Detroit, Michigan; passengers Jordan Lopez, 19, of Baldwin and a 16-year-old female juvenile, were all placed under arrest, detectives said.

The Nissan Altima was stopped on Cheshire Drive due to a defective headlight. Along with the weapon, officers also recovered numerous credit cards, debit cards and scanning devices from inside the vehicle.

All three are charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. The underaged female was arraigned on Wednesday. Nolen, who also faces criminal possession of a forged instrument, and Lopez are scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.
