5 Adults, 2 Dogs Displaced In Baldwin Fire, Fire Marshal Says
The fire was brought under control within half an hour, fire personnel say.
BALDWIN, NY. — Five adults and two dogs were displaced after a house fire in Baldwin Saturday afternoon, the Nassau County Fire Marshal said.
The fire alarm was raised from a two-story home on Atlantic Avenue in Baldwin at 12:51 p.m. Saturday, with response coming from the Baldwin Fire Department and mutual aid from Rockville Centre, Oceanside and Freeport departments, the fire marshal’s office said. In total, about 60 firefighters were on the scene, the fire marshal’s office said, with no injuries reported to fire personnel or the residents.
The fire marshal’s office and the NCPD arson bomb squad are investigating the cause of the fire further, the fire marshal’s office said.
