7-Eleven Employee Hit In Head With Hammer In Nassau: Police
Three people stole from the store, when one of them attacked an employee with a hammer, causing him serious head trauma, police say.

BALDWIN, NY — A 7-Eleven employee suffered serious head trauma in Baldwin early Wednesday when a thief attacked him with a hammer, Nassau police said.
A man and woman entered 7-Eleven, at 1271 Grand Avenue, and stole several items around 1:30 a.m., police said. Two men who worked at the store, ages 26 and 55, confronted the man and woman in front of the shop, police said.
The employees recovered the stolen items after an argument, and the man and woman got into a blue SUV driven by a second woman, police said.

The man got out of the SUV and attacked the 26-year-old employee with a hammer, striking him in the head and causing serious head trauma, police said. The trio then drove away eastbound on Grand Terrace Avenue, police said.
The employee was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police are looking for the trio.

Police described the man who attacked the employee as black, wearing a black puffy jacket, black pants, black sneakers and a grey beanie hat. The woman who went into the store with him was described as black, wearing a black jacket, red hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black slide sandals and a purple bandana, police said. Police described the driver as white.
