Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. Our goal driven and technique oriented approach is the key to your child's success. Through skill based quality teaching our students develop a joy for learning and a passion for swimming. BALDWIN, NY — Police are enlisting the public's help in the search for a 75-year-old man Tuesday morning, after he was reported missing Monday night, police said. According to Nassau County police, 75-year-old Joseph Puglisi was last seen leaving his home at 6 a.m. Monday. Police described Puglisi as a white man with grey-white hair and a grey beared, standing 5-feet, 6-inches, weighing about 185 lbs. Police said Puglisi was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and a blue shirt, and may be operating a white Toyota Camry with New York plate number MBX 7166. His destination, police said, is unknown. Police have requested that anyone with information on Puglisi's whereabouts contact the missing persons squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911.
