81-Year-Old Woman Missing In Hempstead, Police Say

HEMPSTEAD, NY — The search is on for an 81-year-old woman after she was reported missing Tuesday night, police said.

Nassau County police said 81-year-old Maria Dume was last seen in Hempstead Tuesday evening and reported missing at 9 p.m. that night. Police described Dume as a Black woman standing 5-feet, 7-inches, weighing 149 lbs with gray hair and brown eyes. Police said she was last seen in a lime green jacket and floral print dress.
