Amid Rising Concern For COVID-19 Variant, More Vaccine Options

Mount Sinai South Nassau is offering several "Vaxmobile" locations this week including in Island Park and Rockville Centre.

OCEANSIDE, NY — While health officials track the impact from the newest COVID-19 variant, Omicron, Mount Sinai South Nassau is focusing on getting people vaccinated.

The hospital's Vaxmobile is making stops this week in the Town of Hempstead, encouraging those ages 5 and older to get the shot.

The pediatric vaccine is being offered on Wednesday at the Island Park Municipal Building from 2- 4 p.m. Overall, the Vaxmobile will accommodate the general population from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.

There is another option for the COVID-19 booster shot on Friday at the Mount Sinai South Nassau Annex in Rockville Centre.

Adults can get the vaccine from 10 a.m to 1 p.m.
