ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — A Rockville Centre man was arrested Thursday after being accused of a trio of thefts that unfolded over the past week at multiple locations across the south shore, police said.
Nassau County police said 50-year-old Brian Quinn was arrested and charged with third-degree robbery, third-degree attempted robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny in connection with the incidents.
According to police, the first incident took place Sunday, April 19 at A Plus Auto Technician in Baldwin, in which Quinn test drove a 2011 BMW and didn’t return it.
The second incident took place Monday, April 20, at a Chase Bank in Oceanside, wherein Quinn entered the bank and unsuccessfully demanded money from a teller, police said.
Finally, in the third incident, Quinn was at the Flagstar Bank on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa on April 22, police said. While at the bank, he handed a note to a teller that demanded cash, police said. This time, the teller complied with Quinn’s demands and gave him money before the 50-year-old fled the bank, police said.
Court documents show Quinn has pleaded not guilty to all three charges and is due back in court Tuesday.
