ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly report for the week ending May 11 Monday, detailing arrests over the previous week. The items listed are as follows:
On May 4, two people tried to buy food and drinks at a Sunrise Highway restaurant with a fraudulent credit card and threatened the manager before leaving, police said.
On May 7, a parks department employee reported someone having broken into and graffitied the Centennial Park bathrooms, police said.
On May 8, a Rockville Avenue woman said her senior aged father had left the house and not been returned; he was later located in Brewster, NY and brought back to his family, police said.
On May 9, a Valley Stream woman said her car had been hit and damaged by another car while it was parked at the Rockville Inn, police said.
On May 10, a Long Beach woman said her car had been hit by someone she knew while it was parked on North Village Avenue, police said.
On May 10, 21-year-old Queens resident Tiara Bond was arrested and charged with DWI after an accident on Sunrise Highway, police said. Court documents show Bond pleading not guilty to the DWI.
On May 10, 65-year-old Rockville Centre resident Marta Bendikova was arrested and charged with second-degree assault after police investigated her home, police said. Court documents show Bendikova has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
On May 10, 39-year-old former Rockville Centre resident Michael Tannenbaum was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal trespassing, resisting arrest and four open bench warrants after he was found in the detached garage of a Woodland Avenue home, police said.
