ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly report Monday detailing arrests and incidents within the village over the prior week.
The items listed are as follows:
On July 20 at 2:01 p.m., a Lauralton woman said her car had been hit and damaged while it was parked, police said.
On July 20 at 3:48 p.m., a North Centre Avenue man said his new license plates had been stolen after being delivered to his home, police said.
On July 21 at 11:07 a.m., 21-year-old Juan Valdez-Portillo was arrested and charged with attempted third-degree burglary after a homeowner on North Oceanside Road saw him on a ring camera trying to climb into their house through a side window, police said.
On July 22 at 8:54 a.m., a contractor working at a home on Whitehall Road said several thousand dollars' worth in tools had been stolen from their job site overnight.
On July 22 at 10:55 a.m., a village employee said the drinking fountain at Morgan Days Park had been damaged, police said.
On July 22 at 12:08 p.m., 43-year-old Uniondale resident Jose Soto was arrested after being found driving with a revoked license and twenty-three license suspensions, police said. Soto is now charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.
On July 22 at 1:33 p.m., 23-year-old Amityville resident Rhandal Obando-Delgado was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal possession of cannabis, third-degree criminal possession of cannabis, fifth-degree criminal possession of controlled substances and public health code violations after an investigation at a Sunrise Highway convenience store, police said. The investigation revealed illegal flavored vapes, nitrous oxide canisters, cannabis, concentrated cannabis and other illegal vapes and gummies on the premises, police said. The building is remaining closed with no scheduled reopening after it was deemed unsafe by the building department, police said.
On July 22 at 4:10 p.m., 34-year-old Melville resident Malaisha Collins was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after she was found driving with a revoked license that had 25 suspensions on it, police said.
On July 22 at 7:49 p.m., two women got into an altercation in the waiting room at Mercy Hospital, police said. Police did not report any arrests or charges stemming from the incident.
On July 24 at 2:10 a.m., 18-year-old Rockville Centre resident Catherine Serio was arrested at her home and charged with second-degree menacing, police said.
On July 24 at 4:11 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was reported missing from his Old Mill Court home and later found in Freeport, police said.
On July 24 at 4:35 p.m., 47-year-old West Hempstead resident Chrissie Quinones was arrested after she pepper sprayed another woman, police said. Quinones is now being charged with third-degree assault, police said.
On July 25 at 12:07 a.m., two women were assaulted by multiple other women in the Meehan Lane courtyard and suffered injuries in the assault, police said. According to police, the women were again assaulted at 4:05 a.m.
On July 25 at 11:27 a.m., a Royal Road man said his car had been broken into while it was parked in his driveway overnight and that someone had taken his personal property out of the car, police said. Police did not say what exactly was reported stolen from the car.
