ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly report Monday, detailing arrests and incidents over the past week.

On July 28 at 8:20 a.m., a building at the intersection of Merrick Road and North Village Avenue was struck and damaged by a vehicle that had lost control and swerved off the roadway, police said. The driver then fled the scene in the car, police said.

On July 28 at 5:16 p.m., 55-year-old Roosevelt resident Caliph Graham was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic offenses after he was found driving with a revoked license, police said.

On July 29 at 10:24 a.m., a DPW employee said someone had damaged a light fixture at the DPW sometime overnight, police said.

On July 29 at 11:40 a.m., the manager of Merrick Road's Supersonic Car Wash said that a car had struck the business's sign before fleeing, police said.

On July 29 at 1:59 p.m., 40-year-old Illinois resident Anwar Saleh was arrested after an investigation revealed he had almost 4,000 illegal flavored vapes and nitrous oxide canisters inside Yaffa Smoke Shop on South Park Avenue, police said.

On July 30 at 1:13 p.m., a man was reported as having walked into Long Island Outdoorsman on Sunrise Highway, inquired about selling guns, then fled, police said. When he left, the man left behind a stolen gun inside a gun case, police said.

On July 31 at 7:44 a.m., a Nottingham Road man reported that his car had been stolen from his driveway after he parked it there overnight, leaving it unlocked with the key inside, police said.

On July 31 at 8:26 a.m., a Queens woman said her car had been broken into after she left it parked unlocked on Grand Avenue overnight, police said.

On July 31 at 8:27 a.m., a Hampton Court woman said her car had been broken into and some of her things had been stolen from it after she left the car parked in her driveway unlocked overnight.

On Aug. 1 at 11:17 p.m., a North Oceanside Road man said he had been punched in the head "several times by an unknown subject" in the Taco Bell on Sunrise Highway, police said.

On Aug. 2 at 1:59 a.m., a Queens man said he had been grabbed and thrown into a car by an unknown person, police said. According to police, the throw left the man with neck and arm injuries.

On Aug. 2 at 9:09 p.m., 41-year-old Bronx resident Danny Moreno was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, assault, resisting arrest and criminal mischief, police said.
