• LI Schools Speak Out After Seeing Ranking Drops in U.S. News' Best Public High Schools (patch.com) — South Side High School in Rockville Centre is now the top-ranked Long Island school in New York, coming in at No. 8 statewide in U.S. News' latest public high school rankings. Several other Long Island districts, however, saw steep drops, which school leaders blame on New York State's refusal to share certain Advanced Placement data with the magazine, arguing the change skews results for New York schools.
