Argument Between Friends Leads To Stabbing: Police

BREAKING: Police say that the argument escalated, and ended with one man stabbing another.

A Rockville Centre man was arrested Wednesday after police say he stabbed his friend after an argument they had escalated.

According to police, Jordan Reid, 24, of Osborn Place, was in an argument with his friend, a 24-year-old man, on Park Avenue at 7:33 a.m. on Tuesday. The argument escalated into a physical fight. Police say that Reid stabbed his friend in the lower back with an unknown object and then fled the scene.

North Shore Ambulance transported the man to a nearby hospital, and he was treated and released.

Nassau County detectives arrested Reid on Wednesday. He is charged with attempted first-degree assault, second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
