Arrests
On Oct. 12 at 10:28 p.m., Anthony A. Galvan, 36, of Felix Court, Baldwin, was arrested and charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation, two counts of third degree aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic infractions after he was observed operating a vehicle on Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre.
On Oct. 16 at 12:03 a.m., Christopher A. Amato, 25, of Jordan Street, Oceanside, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

Burglaries
On Oct. 13 at 12:58 p.m., a person from Shepherd Street, Rockville Centre reported that someone removed an air conditioner, entered the home and stole property that included jewelry and $300 cash.

On Oct. 13 at 5:45 p.m., a person from Surrey Lane, Rockville Centre reported that someone damaged telephone and cable lines, damaged a rear window lock and attempted to pry open a window; there was apparently no entry gained and nothing was stolen.
Forgery
On Oct. 13 at 11:10 p.m., a worker from Dark Horse Tavern, located at 12 S. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported that a man purchased $15 worth of beer and food with three counterfeit $20 bills.
Larcenies
On Oct. 12 at 6:35 p.m., a commuter reported that his bicycle was stolen from the vicinity of the LIRR and North Park Avenue, Rockville Centre.
On Oct. 12 at 4:40 p.m., a motorist reported his car was damaged while it was parked on Roxbury Road, Rockville Centre.
On Oct. 13 at 7:56 p.m., a person from South Hempstead reported that someone stole a 2010 Schwinn mountain bicycle valued at $350 from the vicinity of North Park Avenue and Front Street, Rockville Centre.
On Oct. 13 at 10:16 p.m., a person from Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone stole two Coker tires valued at $449.48 from the porch of the residence.
On Oct. 16 at 4:13 p.m., a loss prevention employee from CVS, located at 598 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, reported that at 3:35 p.m. on Oct. 14, an unknown female stole allergy medication valued at $712.28.
Unusual Incidents
On Oct. 11 at 10:57 a.m., a person from Tarence Street, Rockville Centre reported that someone made an unauthorized charge for $49.71 against a Town of Hempstead FCU debit card account.
On Oct. 11 at 3:50 p.m., a person from South Park Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone purporting to be from Medicare called and fraudulently obtained her social security number.
On Oct. 16 at 4:30 p.m., a man from 182nd Street, Springfield Gardens reported that while on North Centre Avenue, Rockville Centre an unknown person called him purporting to have his brother and attempted to extort $2,000 to be sent via Western Union; the man determined that his brother was in Baldwin in good condition.
Criminal Mischief
On Oct. 15 at 10:53 a.m., a complainant from Lynbrook reported that someone damaged the windshield and doors to a 2007 Nissan motor vehicle parked in Municipal Parking Field 9, Rockville Centre.
Property Found
On Oct. 16 at 8:01 p.m., a woman from Lakeview Avenue, Rockville Centre reported finding a blue Mongoose bicycle on her property.
