Assembly District 21 Race: Incumbent Griffin Trails By 270 Votes

She wants "every valid ballot" counted to decide a winner.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The race for Assembly District 21 remains too close to call. Incumbent Judy Griffin said in a statement on Twitter that while she "remains very disappointed in my opponent's campaign, I will always be honest with you."

Griffin acknowledged trailing Republican Brian Curran by 270, according to the Nassau County Board of Elections figures.

She said "valid absentee ballots are still arriving"

Griffin, from Rockville Centre, was first elected in 2018.

"I believe in American democracy, and we all must ensure that every valid ballot is counted," she tweeted. "Let no one doubt the power of a single vote."

Curran, who is the mayor of Lynbrook, previous held an Assembly from the 14th District.

"Let’s be patient, take the victory when it comes, and work together to fix New York by continuing our fight to repeal cashless bail laws and stop runaway taxes," Curran posted to Facebook on Wednesday.
