ASSEMBLYMAN BRIAN CURRAN TO HOST JOBS FAIR FEATURING OPPORTUNITIES FOR RETURNING HEROES
Public Advisory

Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st A.D.) today announced that he will host a Jobs Fair, featuring opportunities for returning heroes and veterans. Curran, who sits on the Assembly Veterans’ Affairs Committee, has been a strong advocate for veterans since being elected to the State Assembly and late last year helped spearhead a statewide petition effort to force the governor into talks on the veterans’ buyback legislation to include all veterans. The Jobs Fair will take place Friday, February 5 at the Oceanside Library with jobs for veterans opening at noon and the general public at 1 p.m. To RSVP this event, please contact Assemblyman Brian Curran’s district office.
“We are incredibly thankful for being able to host this Jobs Fair event. There are people and families in our community who are out of work so this will serve as a great tool for them to learn some valuable information in an effort to help launch their careers,” said Curran. “We have inserted a veteran’s element to this as well since there are many returning heroes or veterans in the community who are seeking employment. We should be looking after them for everything that they have done for us, so this is something we can do to help give something back.”
