Assemblyman Curran Announces $5 Million to Rehabilitate Bridge in Baldwin
Press Release

Today, Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st AD) announced that the governor has awarded $5 million to rehabilitate a bridge for Merrick Road over Milburn Creek in Baldwin. The funds are provided through the BRIDGE NY initiative.
“I’m very excited that Baldwin has received this greatly needed funding for bridge repairs and updates,” said Curran. “Last year, I, as well as Sen. Kaminsky who also represents Baldwin, voted in favor of the capital budget bill, where these funds are drawn from, so we can continue to maintain local roads and bridges that are vital to our everyday life here on Long Island. Baldwin is a beautiful community and this project will make it just that much better.”
“Hempstead Town applauds the State of New York for funding the improvement of bridges within our municipality. I remain committed to upgrading municipal infrastructure and deeply thank Assemblyman Curran for being a strong advocate in Albany to accomplish this for our middle class families and seniors," said Town of Hempstead Supervisor Anthony J. Santino
