Recently, Assemblyman Curran (Lynbrook-21st AD) attended the Lynbrook Fire Department's 7th Annual Concert for the Troops to benefit Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior to present a donation in the amount of $1,500, which will be used to make life better for wounded servicemen and women in hospitals along the east coast and here on Long Island.

Last month, Assemblyman Curran participated in the Town of Oyster Bay Triathlon on behalf of the Nassau County Firefighters-Operation Wounded Warrior (NCFF-OWW) to benefit soldiers injured in the line of duty. Including this year’s donation, Curran has now raised over $10,000 for wounded warriors. This was his sixth straight year participating in the event.

“We are able to have days like this in our community because of our brave servicemen and women who put themselves in danger to protect our way of life,” said Curran. “I am proud to participate in such a wonderful event that raises funds to give back to those injured in combat while fighting for our freedom and that of millions around the world.”
