The bill, if passed, would provide single-payer coverage in the state. Meet the man behind the law and ask him questions at this event.

Central Synagogue-Beth Emeth will be hosting a special event later this month. State Assemblyman Richard Gottfried will be talking about his newly proposed legislation, the New York Health Act, which would provide for single-payer coverage in the state.
The talk will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Central Synagogue-Beth Emeth, located at 430 DeMott Ave. in Rockville Centre.
Gottfried is the chair of the Assembly Committee on Health. If passed, his legislation would make New York the first state in the country to provide single-payer healthcare, or Medicare For All.
