Cars Parked In Front Of Homes Broken Into: RVC Police

The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following incidents for the week ending July 8.
Larceny
- On July 4 at 2:47 a.m., an Allen Road resident reported headphones were stolen from his car while it was parked in his driveway overnight.
- On July 6 at 11:51 a.m., a Southard Avenue resident reported a bicycle was stolen from the side of his home during the afternoon.

- On July 5 at 5:08 p.m., a driver reported his car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while it was parked in a lot on Merrick Road.
Arrest
- On July 4 at 11:51 p.m., Shahab U Ahmed, 58, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and two traffic infractions after police say he was observed driving on Sunrise Highway.
