Cops: Duo Robbed Man, Used Stolen Cards Minutes Later in Freeport
Men beat and robbed man on Church Street in Freeport before using stolen cards at 7-Eleven, cops said.
Nassau County Police are searching for using a man’s stolen credit card minutes after beating and robbing him on a Freeport street.
At 11:30 p.m. Oct. 1, a 23-year-old man was walking near 126 Church Street in Freeport when he was approached by two men, cops said. The pair punched and kicked the victim, who fell to the ground, police said. The subjects then took the victim’s wallet and cellphone before fleeing the scene, cops said.
Seven minutes after the robbery, surveillance cameras captured two men using the victim’s stolen credit card at 7-Eleven at 200 East Merrick Road in Freeport, cops said. They left in a dark colored, newer model BMW with unknown plates, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
