Curran Endorses Gillen, Who Seeks Rematch With D'Esposito For Congress
Democrat Laura Gillen lost to Anthony D'Esposito by 10,000 votes in 2022.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — While all eyes are on this winter's special election to replace George Santos, another race is already heating ahead of the general election in November.
The 4th Congressional District, with incumbent Rep. Anthony D'Esposito (R-Island Park), is listed by Roll Call as one of the most vulnerable seats, and it could flip back to blue. The seat was previously held by Democrat Kathleen Rice until she retired from Congress.
Both Roll Call and the Cook Political Report rank New York's 4th District as a "toss-up."

Laura Curran, the former Nassau County Executive, is endorsing Gillen for Congress.
"Long Island families are looking for leaders in Congress who will bring people together and actually solve the real problems we face — and I know firsthand that Laura Gillen is the best person for the job," Curran said in a statement. "It is crucial to the preservation of American democracy that the Republicans do not continue their dangerous, chaotic ‘control’ of the House of Representatives."
Gillen has gained support from other notables on Long Island, including former congressman Steve Israel and former congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy.
