CURRAN TALKS TO WILSON ELEMENTARY STUDENTS ABOUT GOVERNMENT

Press release.

Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st AD) recently visited Francis F. Wilson Elementary School in Rockville Centre to give Mrs. Kara Spinelli, Mr. William Chiofalo, Ms. Jackie Azueta, Mr. Andrew Dellamorte, Ms. Courtney Schuh, and Ms. Kristine Bartolo’s 4th and 5th grade classes a lesson about state government. Curran said the students were very engaged while discussing government and the role it plays in our communities and day-to-day lives.

“Speaking with students and helping them with their education is very important to me. When I visit a school like Francis F. Wilson, I am always reminded how insightful and inspiring our young children can be,” said Curran. “These kids were well prepared and excited for our discussion and their lesson. Their teachers and parents all should be very proud.”

After their lesson, Curran spent some extra time with the students and had pizza and juice boxes with them for lunch.

“It’s good to hang out with and show our youth that, just because I am their representative, I am not unapproachable,” said Curran. “I enjoy having the small group conversations with them because that’s when their curiosity sparks and they ask more questions. It’s a great way to communicate my mission and what I am doing in Albany for them and their families.”
