Driver Loses Control In Nassau; Crashes Into 2 Homes, Pole: Police

The driver and a passenger were taken to a nearby hospital.

OCEANSIDE, NY — A car collided with a utility pole in Oceanside Wednesday night. The 45-year-old driver lost control of his 2017 Mercedes Benz, while heading south on Harvey Avenue.

He also struck two homes and a parked vehicle before overturning, police said.

No one was injured in the homes, but both structures sustained significant damage, police said.

The driver and a 37-year-old female passenger were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
