The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following incidents for the week ending July 29.
Larceny
- On July 25 at 2:23 p.m., a Park Lane resident reported a bicycle was stolen from his garage.
- On July 26 at 9:23 a.m., a customer reported her wallet was stolen while she was shopping at a supermarket on Sunrise Hwy.
- On July 28 at 12:06 p.m., a driver reported her wallet was stolen from her car while it was parked in a lot on Merrick Road.
Burglary

- On July 28 at 10:30 a.m., a customer at a storage facility on Sunrise Highway reported property was stolen from his unit.
Leaving the Scene of an Auto Accident
- On July 24 at 7:15 p.m., a driver reported her car was damaged by a vehicle that left the scene while it was parked on N. Centre Avenue.
- On July 27 at 3:59 p.m., a driver reported his car was damaged by a truck that left the scene while he was driving on Merrick Road.
Criminal Mischief

- On July 26 at 3:05 p.m., a driver reported her vehicle was damaged by a rock while she was driving on Sunrise Highway.
Arrests
- On July 24 at 10:01 a.m., Michael Casado, 28, of Bayport, was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and traffic offenses while police say he was driving on Sunrise Highway.
- On July 25 at 7:51 a.m., Bernard Williams, 65, of Townsend, Delaware, was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and traffic offenses after police say he was driving on Sunrise Highway.
