Drunk Driver Arrested On Merrick Road: Rockville Centre police

The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following arrests for the week ending Aug. 5.
Larceny
- On July 30 at 12:24 a.m., the manager of a drug store on N. Village Avenue reported his cell phone was stolen from the checkout counter.

- On Aug. 4 at 2:09 p.m., a shopper at a supermarket on Sunrise Highway reported his car was damaged while he was inside the store.
Arrests
- On July 31 at 5:40 p.m., Nemesio Ortiz, 49, of West Hempstead, was arrested and charged with DWI after police say he was observed driving on Merrick Road.
- On July 31 at 6:23 p.m., Alex Stewart, 30, of Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny after an investigation on Merrick Road.
