Duo Robbed Nassau Best Buy, Attacked Security Guard
Police say the two attacked the security guard to escape. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
Nassau police are searching for two men who robbed a Best Buy in Baldwin Wednesday afternoon and attacked the security guard at the store to get away.
According to police, two men entered the Best Buy at 660 Sunrise Highway just before 5 p.m. One of the men hid a Nest Video Doorbell, valued at $229, in a white shopping bag, and then they both tried to leave the store.
As they were leaving, they were confronted by an employee of Best Buy Asset Protection. While trying to flee, one of the men pushed a shopping cart into the employee, injuring her arm. The second man then pushed her to the ground, which injured her ankle. The two men then fled on foot through the parking lot in an unknown direction.

The person who stole the doorbell was a black man, about 30 to 35 years old and 220 to 250 pounds, 6 feet tall, with short hair, wearing a gray sweatshirt and brown pants. The second man was also black, about 50 to 60 years old, with short gray hair, a full beard and mustache, wearing a neon yellow traffic vest, dark blue pants and black boots.
The employee, a 33-year-old woman, was evaluated at the scene for her injuries.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a reward if your information leads to an arrest.
