Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective? Twice-elected Nassau County Comptroller

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office? To improve the quality of life, revitalize our downtown, repair our infrastructure, maintain the City's suburban life lifestyle and fix the City finances without raising taxes

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it. Taxes. I will modernize the City's government operations to reduce cost, without layoffs, and eliminate waste to avoid raising taxes

What needs to be done to address water quality issues on LI? Better testing and remediation of pollutants

What do you think can be done to help improve our infrastructure, highways, etc? More federal funding, pursuit of green alternatives and new modes of transportation

How would you plan to help local business owners, who are struggling because of high rents, inflation and labor shortages? I will offer a new economic plan based on knowledge industries and bio-medicines to attract young professionals to boost our economy

What is your stance on the current migrant situation affecting New York? And migrants were to be directed to shelters on Long Island, how would you prepare/plan for that? Glen Cove will not become a sanctuary city

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? Proven experience and Integrity versus mismanagement and wasteful spending

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community? Passed a 2023 budget with looming tax increases and wrong priorities. NY State Comptroller placed City finances under "stress." Neglected our roads, infrastructure and environment. Failed to revitalize the City's downtown, suppressed transparency, gave away hundreds of millions in tax abatements to RXR.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign? Economic development focused on knowledge-based enterprises. Provide more youth activities. Affordable housing. Improve the City's quality of life.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job? Twice elected Nassau County Comptroller. Managed $3 Billion balanced budgets. Build a multi-million business. Vice President at Chase and Citi banks

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you? Get the best education that you can.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions? Integrity is precious. Treat everyone with respect.
