Man Killed In Elmont Stabbing Identified: Police

The stabbing took place just after 1 p.m. Sunday, police say.

ELMONT, NY. — The man killed in a Sunday afternoon stabbing in Elmont has been identified as 33-year-old Elmont resident Jasson Phillips, police said Monday.

Nassau County police said 23-year-old Desean Harrison was arrested in connection with the stabbing Sunday, after police responded to an Elmont residence just after 1 p.m. Officers arriving at the scene found Phillips with several stab wounds, police said. Witnesses at the scene identified Harrison as the subject in the stabbing, police said.

Harrison was arrested without incident, police said. Phillips was hospitalized and pronounced by hospital staff, police said.
