Dr. Jeffrey A. Brown, Mercy's director of neurosurgery, will discuss "Innovations in the Treatment of Chronic Pain" with particular emphasis on facial pain. Dr. Brown is an internationally-recognized expert on trigeminal neuralgia and was one of the featured speakers at the recent 20th Anniversary Annual Meeting of TNA-The Facial Pain Association at the Mayo Clinic Foundation in Rochester Minnesota.
He will be joined by Dr. Artem Y. Vaynman, co-chief of spine surgery, who will discuss "Causes of Low Back Pain and Common Treatments".
Advance registration for the presentations is not required. They will be conducted in the employee dining room on the lower level of the medical center's North Pavilion. Free parking will be available.
